Seeking media coverage for an inaugural national conference for middle and high school students. Also looking for media monitoring and live posting on social media during events.
We built a team and spoke directly with dozens of students, parents, educators, and program staff to identify as many angles as possible. We coordinated across the different groups involved to surface and gain approval on the most compelling storylines. We then divided between pitching local and national news outlets and ghostwriting and pitching op-eds. Finally, we attended the event in person to coordinate media interviews and create and post social media content.
Despite joining the project less than a month before the conference, our team landed 16 stories about the event. Local and national media covered the students and op-eds from students and the program’s CEO ran in national media outlets.
