Job Summary:

As a strategic leader, you will guide the day-to-day management of a young, high-performing team of creators. You will serve as a hub of information, ensuring smooth workflows, removing roadblocks, and driving successful project execution across our employees and contractors. By leveraging your expertise in project management and relationship-building, you will translate client needs into actionable strategies that promote client success, retention, and growth. 

In this role, you will coach and develop a talented team, championing collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose to make a meaningful impact through our clients in public education and beyond. Ideal candidates are short on ego and stress and long on time management and organizational systems. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and lead a team responsible for designing and managing innovative communication solutions that align with client goals and deliver measurable value.
  2. Identify and remove roadblocks to ensure the team operates smoothly and achieves project milestones.
  3. Strengthen client relationships by proactively addressing needs, resolving challenges, and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  4. Develop and maintain synchronized workflows that improve team efficiency, foster collaboration, and ensure timely project completion.
  5. Analyze data to drive informed decision-making and improve business outcomes, including time to value, client value realization, service utilization, and renewal rates.
  6. Create and execute a strategic vision to enhance client value, retention, and long-term growth.
  7. Provide technical training, career development, and performance feedback while continuously evolving the team’s structure and processes to scale with organizational growth and client demands.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals, resources, and deliverables.
  9. Translate client needs into actionable product requirements, project plans, and roadmaps that are aligned with organizational priorities.
  10. Occasional travel (one trip per quarter may be required) 

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across teams and clients.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Comfort with and belief in Gen Z and their potential; this role is ideal for someone who challenges stereotypes and appreciates the unique strengths of the various generations they work with.
  • 5-10+ years of professional experience in Communications, Consulting Services, or a related field, including leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, both directly and through influence, to deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices for workflow optimization and synchronized execution.
  • A proactive and adaptable problem-solver with the ability to anticipate challenges and ad hoc changes, develop solutions, and implement improvements.
  • Passionate advocate for fostering a high-performing team culture centered on collaboration, innovation, and client success.
  • Is an enthusiastic, energetic advocate for the best people, the best ideas and the best cross-functional process to drive client results

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Healthcare Reimbursement:  Up to $3,600 per year for qualified expenses.
  • SIMPLE IRA: 2% employer contribution, no employee match required.
  • Tech Stipend: $1,000 per year for work-related technology expenses.

 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000/year for 75% time, about 30 hours a week. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact.
